British Forces (Falkland Islands)

Wireless for the Blind 

Every year BFBS holds a Radio Auction for our Charity WIRELESS FOR THE BLIND.  All the money raised for our charity does exactly what it says - it is used to Buy radio's and CD Players for the Blind and partially sighted. The Radios are specially made in Bright Colors with Braille and Big Buttons, perfect for the people to whom they are given. Not only is it an exceptional charity for BFBS to sponsor but it is also a Charity which could benefit any one or all of us one day.

SAMA, an abbreviation of "South Atlantic Medal Association", is a charity that supports holders of the "South Atlantic Medal". This medal was awarded, by Britain, to servicemen and civilians who fought in the Falklands war of 1982. The parent branch is based in Britain

D.A.R.E. Falkland Islands 

The D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program is the result of a passionate and committed attempt to reduce drugs misuse amongst children. The term "drugs" covers a range of substances including illegal drugs, alcohol and tobacco with the program also covering aspects of violent and anti- social behavior.
